Registration Information
Eligibility:
To be eligible for full time enrollment, students must be between 17 and 21 years old, have attended high school for four or more years, and have earned 17 or more credits. Typical YABC students are between 18 and 20, and in their 5th year of high school. YABC staff take into consideration a combination of age, years in school, number of credits earned and number of Regents exams passed when determining student eligibility.
To be eligible for shared instruction, students must be in their 3rd year of high school or later, and can enroll in up to three evening/afternoon courses with YABC. Shared instruction students continue to take a full load of classes at their home school during the day while attending YABC in the evening.
How to Enroll:
Please read carefully. Students who wish to register at Flushing YABC should contact the guidance counselor at their current high school and discuss the benefits of YABC.
