School Leadership council

Leadership Council is comprised of 10 students who are eager to see change at Flushing YABC and are willing to do the work necessary to voice their opinions and ensure the change comes to fruition. Students suggest, vote and implement ideas that they feel will make YABC a better place. They are learning valuable skills including networking, interviewing, speech making, the democratic process and much more. This Council will also be attending field trips to influential companies such as Google, YouTube and Facebook. Visiting these NYC Headquarters will give our students an opportunity to experience a day in the life of individuals who work in organizations of importance. Having a behind the scenes look at these careers will inspire them to dream big. Our mission is to prepare and support the leaders of tomorrow with the knowledge and experiences of a lifetime.
